I've already mentioned that one of the benefits of going to grad school abroad is the cost difference when compared to schools in the States. Some funding options include government loans, but you shouldn't forget about the opportunity to get some scholarships to help fund your studies!

Unfortunately, a lot of scholarships have stipulations about how and where you can use the funds. A lot of them--for whatever reason--only let you apply the money to schools in the USA. However, there are ones that let you apply it to any schools... You just have to check the finer print.

While none of these websites I've listed below are EXCLUSIVELY for US citizens applying for scholarships to apply abroad, they're all great places to start. Also, these aren't only grad school scholarships, so be sure to read the descriptions!

1. Unigo

Unigo has a specific category for grad school scholarships. Unfortunately, a lot of them are specified based on your program / degree of study. However, they do have quite a few that are open to anyone. Plus, they have an "easy scholarship" category which is great for the laziest of us!

2. Fastweb

Fastweb has a specific category for grad school scholarships as well. To access it, you're going to have to register an account with them. But, this is a good thing because you can bookmark some scholarships you're interested in as well as get email reminders about scholarship deadlines!

3. GoGrad

GoGrad is a website specifically for graduate students. Yay! They have a pretty extensive category search as well as a lot of good information about different programs and stuff. My only issue is that they seem to push a lot of "sponsored content" which makes digging for the good stuff a bit of a hassle.

4. InternationalStudent

I don't have much information about InternationalStudent but they are a website geared towards students of ALL nationalities who are studying abroad. For the most part, this means a lot of international students who are trying to fund studies in the USA (not the other way around like we want). But you can put where you're from and where you want to study and look at the hits generated.
